Man In The Middle Attack Screenshotting Targets Browser

A MITM attack is a type of cyber attack in which an attacker intercepts communication between two parties, such as between a user and a website. The attacker then has the ability to eavesdrop on the communication, manipulate it, and potentially steal sensitive information, such as login credentials, credit card numbers, or personal data.

One common method of conducting a MITM attack is by using a technique called ARP spoofing. This involves the attacker sending fake Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) messages to a network, which allows them to associate their own MAC address with the IP address of the targeted victim. Once the attacker has established this association, they can intercept and manipulate the victim's network traffic.

Another method of conducting a MITM attack is by using a fake Wi-Fi hotspot. The attacker sets up a Wi-Fi network with a name similar to a legitimate network, and when users connect to it, all of their network traffic passes through the attacker's device. The attacker can then intercept and manipulate this traffic.

In either case, the attacker can potentially capture sensitive information by using tools such as packet sniffers or by intercepting data sent between the user and the targeted website. However, capturing screenshots of the victim's browser would likely require additional malware installed on the victim's device, which could be used to record their screen or capture keystrokes.
